Blank Calendar Template
A blank calendar template is a printable monthly grid with no dates, so you write in the month, year and day numbers yourself. Use it for any month of any year, as a plain grid or with a notes column, on Letter or A4 paper.

How do I fill in a blank calendar?
To fill in a blank calendar, write the month and year on the top line, then number the boxes starting from the weekday the month begins on. Each blank monthly calendar has 6 rows, which is enough for any month; a month that starts late in the week can need all 6.
The Monday-start versions put Monday in the first column for schedules that follow a Monday-to-Sunday week. Sunday-start versions follow the usual US layout.
Which printable blank calendar should I use?
Print the plain grid for the biggest writing space, and the notes version for lists or goals that don't belong to one day. Landscape gives wider boxes; portrait gives taller ones and fits a binder or clipboard.
The Word and Excel files are the same undated grids, so you can type into the boxes before printing. For a calendar that fills in the dates for you, use the monthly calendar template instead.
How do I print a blank calendar?
To print a blank calendar, download the PDF for your paper size and print it at "Actual size" or 100% scale. Scaling to fit shrinks the boxes and can leave a wide margin. The calendar printing guide covers browser headers, phones and the difference between Letter and A4.
Dated blank calendars
Dated blank calendars show the day numbers but no holidays. Every month page includes a Blank design, for example the January 2027 calendar. For a whole year, download the 12-page Blank PDF:
Blank calendars with your own dates
The calendar maker builds dated calendars for any run of months, with holidays turned off if you want a clean grid. You can add your own events and print or save the result as a PDF.
Blank calendar FAQ
Is the blank template free to print?
Yes. Every file is free to print for personal, classroom and internal business use, with no sign-up.
Why does the grid have 6 rows?
Some months stretch across 6 calendar weeks, so 6 rows fit every month. Leave the extra boxes empty in shorter months.
Can I edit the blank grid on a computer?
Yes. The Word (DOCX) and Excel (XLSX) versions let you type the month, year, dates and notes before printing.
Does the blank calendar include holidays?
No. The undated template has no holidays because the dates change every year. The dated month pages show US federal holidays.
