How do I edit a 2027 calendar in Excel?

To edit the calendar in Excel, open the XLSX file, click Enable Editing, then double-click a day's cell and type after the day number. Press Alt+Enter on Windows to start a new line inside the cell.

The cells hold plain text and numbers, with no formulas or macros. Row heights and column widths are set so the month fits one page. If you add a lot of text, keep Wrap Text on and shorten the entry rather than resizing the rows.

Using the calendar in Google Sheets

To use the file as a Google Sheets calendar template, upload the XLSX file to Google Drive, right-click it and choose Open with, then Google Sheets. You can then edit it in the browser and share it with family or coworkers.

To print from Google Sheets, open File, then Print, and set Scale to Fit to page. Check the preview after converting, because Sheets can change fonts and row heights slightly.

Opening the calendar in Apple Numbers

Numbers on a Mac, iPhone or iPad opens XLSX files directly. Each month of a 12-month workbook opens as its own sheet. Check Numbers' print view before printing, because it lays out pages its own way.

Adding events and term dates

To add an event, type it into the day's cell under the date, or into the Notes column in the Notes design. Use a fill color to mark school terms, shifts or vacations: select the days, then choose a fill color from the toolbar.

The Blank design has no holidays, which suits rotas, habit trackers and team schedules.

Printing the Excel calendar on one page

To print one month on one page, open File, then Print, and keep Scaling at Fit Sheet on One Page. Each sheet already has its paper size, landscape layout, margins, print area and one-page fit saved in the file.
